I have both: NASTC and RTS. Use just NASTC because their discount is higher and network bigger.
DSK333 Thanks this. -
I've been seriously considering the NASTC program. Do you just pay a flat 250/year for that? I heard there's also 100/month fee too. Any truth to that?
-
$250 a year and I think $9 a month. Used to be $6 a month but it went up last year. The first year there was an additional $50 set up fee.DSK333 and OLDSKOOLERnWV Thank this.

So might as well say $358 yr? I talked to them at MATS last Friday, and talked to some hands that use NASTC. Drivers said it saves them quite a bit. I'm going to look into it a little more. There is a T/A 20 miles east of me which I pass by a lot, then a Flying J 25 miles west of here, only other big option is 2 Gomart truck stops. Gomart gives .5 gallon discount for cash.DSK333 Thanks this.

They just sent me some details. $300 per year, one time $50 setup fee and $4.25 per month card maintenance fee. So basically $351/year. Discounts look pretty good especially in the Mid-Atlantic area.
They also provide NTL and GL insurance but after inquiring about it they sent me a lengthy application to fill out. I'll be passing on that. A quote should be as painless as possible for me. They certainly failed in that regard.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
There will be an application proses. They are offering you credit. It’s a 7 day float and set up my limit for $3000.00 for 1 Truck.
@OLDSKOOLERnWV
There are decent discounts at the big guys but they have a lot of others to chose from too. A lot of the independents and chains like speedway. I find generally I get the best prices at speedway in my usual lanes using NASTIC. Last year I tracked all my fuel discounted price to pump price. I saved like .24 cents per gallon. About $320 dollars a month. I do fuel outside the network when I’m home because the best diesel price in the state is in my town but just one slow pump and no trailers.OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
There's no mentioning of credit checks in any of the forms they're asking me to complete. A 10 day due date is mentioned though. I wonder how they determine the limit.

They asked me if $3000.00 was enough? I said sounds good to me. And so it was.OLDSKOOLERnWV and DSK333 Thank this.
