I feel like it maybe a good fit for me starting out. I would like to bring home at least $800 a week as otr Driver though. Not sure if that's possible but really is fairly important for me. I sent recruiting as message. Its only my 2nd day of school so have a little time. But thanks man!!dominic23 and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
The miles are there, youll easily have the opportunity to make more than $800 a week net..
-
Does "opportunity" mean never coming home Steele Dragon? I am just trying to get a clear picture.
Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
Life of a truck driver.
They will get you home whenever you schedule it.
You get a bonus for 12 k miles per month, depending how many days off you take, will affect this bonus.
Even though it's $200,the additional lost pay from home time, will affect your total pay for the month..your choice.dominic23 Thanks this. -
Safety bonus and fuel bonus are easily obtainable.
The lanes you run make your life pretty stress free compared to other places I've worked. -
Thanks Steele Dragon!
Do you think I would bring home 800/850 coming home every other weekend for a Friday night/Saturday night....
I am starting to like the thought more and more of Danny Herman. I live about 5 miles from the Eastman. I know they pull loads out of there quite often.
I appreciate your response bud. And if I ask something stupid I appoligize. I just finished day #2 of school today. I'm green as they come. But drove quite a bit today and really loved it man. My wife asked me why I was grinning so big? I told her I am not really sure but must be from going through those gears and learning something new. It was a great day.... Anyway didn't mean to ramble. But Thanks again for sharing on here. It helps guys like me just getting into this.Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
I run nights so all my appt times are early morning I shut down between noon and 2 pm.
Nights there is less traffic, less dot and scales,no waiting in traffic,or at the fuel lanes.
If you run days I'm guessing you would be getting less mileage but not always.
I run usually 600+ miles each day which equals about $200+.
Every time you take a day off, subtract $200 a day from your check...CorsairFanboy and dominic23 Thank this. -
They want us out at least two weeks. cpm is low but everything else about the company makes it worth it. Bonuses also make up for the cpm longer you're out the more you'll make. I've never driven for nicer people. If I can fix something myself or limp it down the road to a garage to avoid service call expense I do. They appreciate drivers who care and they will take care of you for that dedication. Take the short runs and deliver team loads when asked and they will reward you for it with good miles. Sometimes after I've done that they give me a choice of the loads they have available. At DHT you will get out what you put in. Sorry if I've repeated anything posted thus far.
dominic23 and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
Thank you Flacker! I am supposed to talk to Angela (recruiter) tomorrow. DHT is #1 on my list. I am excited about it. Thanks!
Flacrkr and Steel Dragon Thank this.
