I think it's an issue everywhere. We have the same problem where I work, a non transportation related place. It's the Govt so maybe that doesn't count, lol.JohnBoy, MACK E-6 and 4mer trucker Thank this.

That would be an acceptable excuse, ours never go down so in my observation, it’s operations, the human kind.
Don’t get me wrong, as frustrating as it is, and being here as long as I have, I’ve earned the right to run my mouth when things get frustrating. Usually it gets like this twice a year, when it’s time for vacation, which it is.
***update*** After leaving West Memphis at 5am with a load to London Ky that delivered at 3pm, the surprised look back at Richmond that I was empty at 4:30pm was finally dealt with. A 490 mile deadhead back to the yard, after I ran out of the last 4 hours of my day waiting on dispatch. When I get in tonight, it will be time to head home with something for Tuesday. Then 2 weeks of vacation. -
Of course they were surprised!!!! Come on now, JB!!!! Even running locally like I have been, they're surprised when empty. After 30 minutes yesterday morning, I call and get, well, we have 400 other folks and you know how it is in here first thing in the morning. My response? And I even kept it civil, was it only took me 1.5 hours to get here. How did you forget I needed my next move so quickly? I swear!!!! It's not like I'm hourly where I don't care how long it takes. I get tired of working 10-14 hour days for 200 miles. And folks wonder why I'm so dang cranky!!! Now, when Higgins is at the desk, that doesn't usually happen. Before I get to my destination, I've got my next move, and I sometimes even know what I'm doing all day. I've gotten 500 miles running locally a time or two under his direction. The other one, and I'm not talking about Phillip, is as dumb as a box of rocks and will send me on the stupidest runs. Sometimes I think just to piss me off.Lonesome Thanks this.

Does anyone know how to figure out how much of our gross was paid as per diem?. Is it simply a matter of subtracting taxable income as listed on W2 from Gross income as listed on last payroll statement?.
I know we claim unpaid per diem, but I don't know how much per diem I have already been paid. -
Look in box 12 on your w-2 with code DD
-
Thanks, that DD code is listed as employer health insurance contributions. Didnt think that would be the same as per diem.
