I assume we share the same goal ie to get a job with roehl in the honors program. I would appreciate hearing about your experience from start to finish. I don't have enough posts to PM not sure if I can recieve them. Just would like a leg up when it comes time for me to join the "club". thanks andy

Just got off the phone with a recruiter this afternoon. She said they are still hiring for the national fleets but are not for the regionals. Mileage for flatbed national quoted to me were 2000 to 2200 a week :biggrin_2552: and Regional is (if they were hiring) is around 1500 a week :biggrin_25512:. Gotta love the economy.

ok thanks bucks and ducks, it just so happens that werner came down here on a recruiting drive and told me that roehl was putting a freeze on hiring newbies. I figured that was an attempt to lure me to them. I have read a few horror stories about them and really would want them to be my last resort.

To few companies offer the opportunity to us vets to use our GI Bill in conjunction with learning the ropes of this business.

I also talked to schnieder and whats funny is they don't even have a VA rep with the company but they will give me the forms to fill out. I would think that any company trying to pull vets over to them would have a rep on the payroll.

Yeah I know getting a little long winded just trying to pass on info I have learned to other aspiring truckers.

I read on another message board that a guy was not hired by roehl because he had an accident in his car within the last five years. He went on to say that his MVR was clean and this was the only black mark against him. I'm in the exact same boat, I hope I don't share his same fate. I have called wade who handled my application however he has yet to return my call. There was no police report ...I backed into another guys vehicle in a parking lot. Slight damage to each vehicle

can anyone shed some light on this one?

Im starting with Roehl Jan 12th in Gary Ind. I had an accident in 6/06. It did come up on my MVR. They gave me a call and asked about the details. I told them I was stopped at a red light and was rear ended and I had a copy of the police report to back up my statement.:yes2557: I faxed it and all was well:biggrin_25525:. So far I have found Roehl to be the most "UP FRONT" company I spoke to. No promises. No guarrenteed weekends. I would rather work for a company that is up front from the start.

Thanks buster for your insight problem is or I guess it would be a good thing is this will never show up on my MVR since all we did was exchange insurance info and the other guy submitted a claim and that was the end of it or so I thought.

I was reading a thread about DAC reports and the like and a trucker made reference to a CLUE report which is used by insurance agents agents to track claims. Kinda like a database that I assume the trucking industry has access to.

I just got off the phone with my insurance lady and she said that pretty much anybody can access information to include trucking companies.

so my question is does anybody have any experience with being declined based on a clue report?
