Done that, not sure what was better, tarping in Canada in -30 temps or Houston in 100
Glad I only slam doors now ;)

There are many days I miss my deck, but running out of the Midwest in the winter, I do notice a distinct reduction in those feelings. Summer didn't bother me much, Southerners are used to heat and humidity. Winters like these, however, are absolute ball busters to us.

I miss my deck too, best job I had was in Germany running across Europe, 90% of my loads were not tarped. Here a few pics:

And it didn't matter where I went, Spain, Italy, Greece, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Hungary, and more, I came back to Germany 95% empty.
Sometimes I spent 3 weeks in Spain, other drivers brought a trailer to the French - Spanish border and we swapped and I delivered these loads.
My best trip was a load to Southern Italy, came back empty and on the way to Germany I was routed to Portugal to pick up a load back to Germany.

Oh, the glories of delivering to a Wal Mart DC . Been here for three hours already. Next is a 200 mile deadhead for a 1400 load time. The upshot to all this is I'm going to burn my 14 completely up today and accomplish very little. Not complaining though, these three loads pay very well and my reload is going to Council Bluffs, right at the yard, where I'm hoping to keep the streak going. Only downside is I guess I'm going to have to change from shorts and a t-shirt back to full winter gear.

    More later...

Airborne, intrepidor and Vic Firth Thank this.
