Thinking about buying this unit to travel around the country pulling a 10k lb fifth wheel.

    64k mils
    9.0l
5sp with 2 speed rear axle

Looking at the engine specs, I am not convinced but thought I would ask the experts here.

    Thanks

Well, it's 30 years old. No guarantees. Nothing lasts forever. With older engines and trucks like that you run into problems with people knowing the engine/truck and getting parts should you ever need service. I have never worked on and most of the guys that did are long retired by now.

Junk ! I used one for years doing asphalt don’t do it that 9.0l can’t get out of its own way with a load. Even if it’s really cheap which it should be dirt cheap

9.0 and 2 speed rears.....I'd pass on that. The 9.0 sucked to work on and parts would prolly be a nightmare to get now days.

Be much better off with a DT466 if you wanted an international
