Would it be relevant to obtain my license again or just let them go???

Seems like Utah bumped it up from 90 to 120 days. For car privileges. First offense.

I'm glad I got my dui when I did. Decades ago. Walk in the park compared to the penalties today.

In Georgia up till the late 80s you could plea Nolo contendere and not get your license suspended at all. I want to remember in my county the fine was $400 for a 1st offense IF the Judge accepted the plea. I don't think this plea is allowed today.

It is just the consequences are so much serious... They make you think twice before doing it and if caught drunk and driving they make you Pay

I had a good friend get a DUI. he called me asking to borrow $4800 to get stuff started with a lawyer because the lawyer said that he could save his license. The drivers license is one thing. The CDL is something completely different. It’s not one and the same. You can be disqualified from the CDL part and keep the Class D driving privileges...but that doesn’t do you and me any good.

What I would need to be clear on when a lawyer tells me about my license is whether or not he’s talking about the commercial drivers license. This must be pretty recent. What’s the ruling on your drivers license? And what’s the ruling on your CDL driving privileges? There are 2 separate penalties.
