Harleys and Petes. LOL. I will take a Honda or other jap bike over a Harley any day. Much better durability, more power and better streetability and less money out of pocket at purchase with the same depreciation rate.
Sorry guys but the days of the big money Harleys are gone since you no longer have to wait for one. Order it today and you will have it in less then a month if not sooner.
As far as Petes. Love the one I drive except that it has a Cat in it and can,t pass a fuel stop or pull a hill faster then grandmas wheel chair. Other then that I like it.
But then this is about Cat dropping out of the on road scene. They can't meet emission standards without loosing mpg drastically along with power. Seem to be much heavier then a comparable powered engine from the others also. 500 thousand miles and I have to add oil to it between changes were the 900,000 mile Volvo that had never been opened up could go between services without adding one drop of oil to it in between.
Cat had their Hayday but they are done now. They can no longer compete in the on road market. Sad to say but this is the truth. -
That explains what? -
Why you are so stubborn, teamsters LOL...

Year is 99. 550, would it be a 3406E or would it be a C15 as per what he said. The pink pete in my photo album is the one i'm referring too. If it helps, 3.70 rears and 10spd.
Mr. hoffa,
I used to agree with you; however, after beating a freightshaker with a 515 detroit, i disagree. Cats are good period. They are relibale, and much easier. The rebuild for my friends was cheaper than a cummins. I know a guy who has a 377 that has gone 6+ million with many rebuilds in his cat and that things still going strong. Find me a detroit that has that many miles.

Well some of us like to get paid for what we do.
I have never had any desire to sleep in a truck.
As soon as I hit the start button my truck is getting paid, and the clock is ticking until it is parked in the yard and has idled 3 minutes. -
Play nice.

I am so glad I have union brothers to keep the rate cutting big riggers off the job.
I was working up in the Bronx when this guy with chromed out "big rigs" came in from outside and thought he was going to cut my rate.
He worked one day and I made one phone call. -
Its a 3406E KH, could be a 1LW and it could be a 2WS, big difference in the two so get the serial number.
You mean milk the system there Hoffa? The Challenger Thanks this. -
Hoffa,
I am so glad there are o/o's so people like you can get depressed. Who the sam hill are you trying to be? There are good people like 550 trying to make a living and you come in trying to act like the big shot. Just because we choose to sleep in a truck doesn't mean we are not getting paid. My friend get $2.50 a mile. No i am not joking.
Cat will most likely make a return to the market down the road. I used not wanna be like 550 but now after seeing all my friends who have cats, i really admire him for doing what he does. Helping america deliver its prducts in style.
