I agree on the 1911, but if you want power and size, the Marlin 1895G, in .45-70 caliber with an 18 inch barrel, easily moves and more than enough power to take down anything that moves

For the conditions I work in, it works well, doesn't jam with all the dust. Plus it has plenty of stopping power..

I guess my favorite carry rifle is the .338 Lapua magnum. It will penetrate 5 layers of military body armor at 1000 yards, and still make the kill. It is useful up to 1600 meters.

I like putting a melon at 100 yards on the range. It is the same size as a human head and make a satisfying explosion with expanding ammunition. YESSSS!!!

I prefer to just carry an armored tank division. Very effective at clearing roadways!
