You could write a program that notifies us that a tire will blow 45 minutes before it happens. That would be helpful.
I assume such a service doesn't exist yet. Should I create it?

Uber tried this, does not seem like it took off

So there's no way to offer a quote on the Uber app? It is what you see is what you get? Just curious, I haven't bothered to sign up or download the app.

Everything is negotiable.
A hard price at $1.90/m that sits and suddenly goes to $2.15/m bc no one will bite isn't a hard set price.
Leaves me wondering how much more wiggle there is above $2.15 if I sit tight.
In premise... you have an idea. Nothing wrong with that, but free enterprise and freight markets cause freight lanes to change almost daily. -
I just checked and it looks like they added a call button in load detailswhoopNride Thanks this.

So you don't agree with the idea I get that, but why do have to insult the guy? A simple I don't think that would work would be just fine. Is your life that ####ed up that you don't know how to have a decent conversation without calling some one's idea stupid? This forum has some decent people on it but most of you are losers who can't wait to put others down. What a bunch of sorry ### cry baby losers.TruckRunner Thanks this.

Dude, I too came from an it and business background. For years I have heard developers come up with grand ideas to figure out how to do something better and it has always led to less efficiency.
What dont need more load boards but we need more information for planning. We need to see historical data and trending info. We need to have a coordinated effort among load boards to eliminate duplicate or hijack loads.
I suggest one thing that really would help is to come up with a quickbooks add on for trucking. -
Reminds me of this comic. When a multi million dollar company can make exactly what the op is talking about into no more than a toy, it's not going to happen on a small scale.
blairandgretchen, Streetroddreams and gentleroger Thank this. -
Spoken like a true spot market failure. You're wrong. Brokers don't set rates. The market does. Schneider on the other hand does set rates on their internal load board because they have a captive audience of contract drivers who have NO choice at all in where their loads come from. How ironic they called the program "choice". I have heard Schneider Choice guys talk about some low rates coming out of areas that were smoking hot on the open spot market. They can't even deadhead out of poor markets like Florida.
