They kept sending me more opportunities to go deeper into the snow belt. I parked at a Wal-Mart and kept shopping til they offered me a load going to Mississippi. Enough with the naming winter storms already.

Im pretty late to the thread, just wondering what has your weekly average been pay wise? Has it been worth the hassle?

Gross avg 3200. After all my expenses including fuel, lease payment, maintenance reserve I also hold out 25% for taxes.
I like JB ok. My fleet manager is tops. Having said that I've decided I can't recommend JB for lease op because of electronic micro-management. The system is stupid. It records headway events (following within 7 seconds for more than 2 minutes.).try to avoid that in city traffic or upgrade. I am constantly dropping back when it is not necessary. Pnet yells at me when I go over 68mph (I just turn down the sound). Onguard brakes for unicorns.
The last straw was a "critical event" where some numbnuts cut me off and slammed on the brakes to get an exit ramp. I outbraked and out maneuvered onguard even. It recorded event and took away (totally useless) "points" when i should have been given an attaboy for good skills. Don't care about attaboys or points but what galls me is points just dissapeared. The whole thing was handled electronically. No human asked me what happened.
The aggravation of electronic monitoring steals my pleasure in the job.

OK thanks for the reply. Is that revenue to the truck or is that money in the bank?

Gads what a nightmare. Hubby would never put up with that bs. On those northern roads right now that's just unsafe. You stay safe girl.

The onguard system is in fact an unsafe system actually.
This is especially true in winter conditions as it does not know the difference between dry roads and icy , snow packed , wet and slippery Ect. Ect.
