what injector setting for 3406e

5232 or 6999 but im not sure if CAT will put these in for ya if they know. 40-50hp.

 

No password needed.......5232 40-50hp....6999 about 10hp more again

Did you figure out your other problem Walt?

 

I had my injector codes and fls/fts set at a KW dealer. Then I went into Cat and had the fls/fts set back to stock. I went back to the same Cat shop and my injector codes changed again 2 more times. Cat told me injector codes are considered a customer specified parmeter and they will change them to whatever you want as long as they aren't password protected (by the owner, not Cat). They didn't charge me either time.

 

They are full torque and full load (fuel) settings. These other guys like 550, DDS, and Cat Wrench know more about that stuff than I do. When I had mine changed to the hot numbers, all I got was a lot of smoke and heat, and I lost power. I had them changed back and tried just the injector codes and the smoke cleared up but still lots of heat but not much power until I disconnected the wastegate...Then it came alive! I've picked up .9 mph also.

I'm going to try a bigger turbo as soon as it warms up enough to put one on and then I'll try the fls/fts again.
