Property damage (PD) = DAC report. My rookie "incidents" (PD w/o police report) were listed against me with dollar damage included. The report reads with "Driver states" and my explanation of what happened, and preventable. I told the truth. I still do. Watkins Shepard was very generous dealing with me and let them be learning experiences for me. I am not bitter about them being on my DAC and the fact that I state them on applications, they have never held me back in my career.

Since you are still under the age of 40 to go reserves as a Seabee, gives a good enlistment bonus & can still drive a truck. This is good income as a reservist until you get a stable job, but we do drive trucks in the service & bonus may help pay off bills & the truck school without having to worry about the upcoming payments.

Just making it clear, the accident was undoubtedly my fault and was preventable. I was just mentioning the DAC thing because I'm reasonably sure they put it on there.

Hindsight being what it is I could have done a many other things to have prevented the accident but I didn't. I could have spent less time looking at my trailer and more time looking forward. I could have went straight and turned at a different point in the parking lot but from where I was it looked like a good point to begin the turn around.

No idea how much the damage cost but I'm reasonably sure it went over 10 Grand since the hood alone was (I'm told) around 8000 to replace and thats not including the faring the leaf springs and the steering parts I damaged. The light pole was shifted but not damaged but I'm sure will cost a lot to be moved back the two inches or so.

Deploying overseas is in certain Military Service Branches, he may or may not be deployed overseas can not say on my end. But a good chance he won't since the Seabees build things and according to the new messiah coming into office next month, he wants the majority of the military out of the region by 2010. This deadline will come faster than realized. Just a option to take if all else fails and you feel no one will hire you. If not for you, I hope you do find the job you will want and treat you like a good drive that you are!

by the look of the pics yes it is your fault. but it is no where near 10,000 damages they can fix that hood for about 1000 and another 2 to 3g's for the rest of it. it was not as bad as you think. good luck to you man.
