Obviously I know that it depends on the extent of parts needed but what would I be expecting to spend on a rear tandem set of RT40-145 to be rebuilt. And while we are at it... what additional cost would it be to have it re-geared from 4.11 to 3.58 or even 3.36.
I've searched and can't find any info on this subject.
I'm also curious what a full rebuild on a RTLOF-16718B typical runs.
Just looking ball park on typical rebuild, not trying to get ripped off.
Thanks in Advance!

That’s for a single axle if I remember those numbers correctly. I don’t think they charge extra for changing the ratio....

Did your message get cut off?

Well if you're having rear ends rebuilt you're buying a ring and pinion anyways. Just buy the ring and pinion for the ratio you want instead of the 4.11's.
KB3MMX, Diesel Dave and PolishPrince Thank this. -
Is 7500 for the 18 speed and 5000 per rear fair?
-
I have a used set. with 3.58 ratio. Actually still in housings. Probaly need rebuilt, but they have new cams and bushings in them.

To the OP, what are you trying to accomplish? A little more 411 would help. What do you have now and what’s your strategy ? What do you haul ? Where do you run ? What do you have for power(motor) ?
