Right, i think it is a great convience for the driver, i guess just like everything else you have to be careful I hope i dont pick a company that has that stupid clause in it. I would hate to leave on day 1

 

Ya--tell him to RUN and RUN as fast as he can!!! I hope though seriously that he did not sign anymore than the basic 6-month lease. Personally in today's economic problems, there is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY IN HELL that I would be a lease driver. You basically rent THEIR truck in order to pull THEIR freight, so they can take YOUR money from you and hold it in hock at THEIR discretion, and they charge THEIR rates(which are higher than a regular bank)in order to rent THEIR truck and then when you Quit THEY have YOUR money and THEIR truck and YOU are left with nothing! To many "THEYS" for me! You are better off buying your own truck and then leasing it on somewhere and definitely not JB Hunt! From my experience as a driver with JB HUnt, their lease drivers and O/O's do not get treated much better than their drivers do--They get the same crappy loads, they just dont wait as long for them.

 

Yes they can withdraw. It is done as a stopped check. It will show up as a deposit, even change your balance, and then be withdrawn without you even knowing it. It has been done to me once.

that is also good to use a separate checking account if spouse owes back child support...because they will access your checking account regardless if it's a joint one, and take 90% of the $ that is in there...

 

they have the right to go into some ones bank account,under the guiss' that you gave them the right to make auto deposits, and infact it is legal for them to remove,monies if they over pay you'if they feel you owe them money they dam sure will use,that right to take your jingle away from you,its not all legal but they use it as such, how many can really afford to sue a company ? And these companys know that,trust me ive found they know all the scams and all the angles,they have been doing it for years and countless drivers and employes,and in the end if push comes to shove,they say,opps,sorry we made a mistake,it was the office girls,the payroll rep blah blah'they cover there ###,s just fine,and they dont give a crap about you and i'

My Fiance works at a credit union, any company you give the right to deposit to your account can also withdrawal from your account, no matter what the contract says...........
