I chose locking caps over anti-siphons because most of the anti-siphons I looked at go down into the tanks about a foot or so. When you've got full tanks, that's still quite a bit that can be siphoned out.

I hear ya. But I'd just run the tanks under that level till I'm ready to go, then fill all the way.

I got talked out of those because of the interference of the flow of high pressure fuel. (Hey, I got to GO...and don't fuel twice when I can fuel once, especially since I do my best to fuel for price.) Also, I was informed that with a steel rod and a 3 lb sledge you can pop a hole big enough for a tube in one of those anti siphon devices.

Fueled in Perrysberg today, had run through the salt all night. Got 'em open without too much of a fight, but I am going to get the graphite and Magnums. (Or something like 'em!):biggrin_25515:

As stupid as this may sound use some soft putty that would cover the key hole, comes right off and either have used some graphite or anti seize, i had some plumbers putty that i covered over the keyhole and it comes off easy, just place it beside the tank when filling and then replace it, won't vibrate off and won't let dirt, dust or let any moisture or corosion in either, silly but it works and its cheap.

boy id say the theives would have to be pretty desperate, i guess if i were in there shoes and i couldnt get the hose in the tank..... i would try the truck sitting next to it! haha

locking caps hold out the chance of someone putting something into your tank too, but i think ill stick to the anti siphon units, but like most ppl, ill wait till it happens to me and then do something about it

Beat the thief to death and post a picture of the corpse just above the filler cap.... nah, better not. Hate a thief, though.

I like the putty idea, too.

Never hurts to flush those cap locks out with brake cleaner as this will flush grease/oil bits of rubbish and leave no residue.....Next stop, puff a little graphite into them working the key and you should be good. You will have to be the judge of how often you have to repeat this process mate...
