Yes the good old days, when truck stops. Were there to serve the drivers. Not rape you on a drink and nasty fast food.
Used to be when you went into the drivers section in back. They had service and you got in and out fast. I have waked into Whites. To eat and rest room stop, and family's out front was still waiting on there food.
And have wasted hours looking at the Gun collection. And the old Bikes in the glass out front. Sad these Corporations are out for cash. Screw the Drivers.

 

Why do you think they went from Truck stop to travel plazas. Truck stops were meant for the truckers, and the trucking industry. Then, somewhere in the mist of it all. Some corporate wiener decided to expand it to a travel plaza for all motoring public. Money, and Greed took over. Look at the recreational reptiles parked in semi truck spaces. lot lizards roaming around like vampires looking to suck your wallet dry (no pun intended) lol. The attitude, and disrespect you get at these yuppie stops anymore. Hello, get your ####, give me your money, and get out of the way so we can take the next suckers money. Have a nice day .

 

I remember the free phones by the entrance doors,back when they were a Union 76,way before cell phone days. They had In state,and out of state Wats free. Haven't been in there for years. No more guns,knives and motorcycles? Had a hell of a display.

 

That sounds so much like a paradise... wish I could have witnessed that
