You're gonna get dirty. Hopefully all the grease has dried in the last few years!
Climb under it, ideally before it's dark out lol
Take a set of vise grips, and 4 large zip ties.
Best case, the heim joint that popped is just whooped out and didn't bust. If it busted, you're ####ed: you have to get a me w heim joint to put it back together.
If it's just whooped, pop it back together with the vise grips and wrap a couple zip ties on it, so it can flex but it don't pop apart.
Heim joints wear out, get greaseable ones if you can.Gumper Thanks this. -
Sounds like the clutch blew. Mine did the same thing at a consignee, clutch "exploded" (what the tech wrote up). Aghh the joys of ownership...Gumper Thanks this.

I’ll crawl around it and see what I find. Thanks for the tips. Better now than while loaded on the way to my first delivery.

My bet is on the linkage breaking based on what I'm hearing so far.
-
It was an all of a sudden thing. Pulled off the road for fuel and it took all I had to push the pedal down. It was the same when pulling out of the fuel bay, and the next time I pushed it something gave up and the pedal had no resistance at all.
-
No good on the possibility of a broken linkage. It’s all hooked up. I can grab the linkage under the hood, and work it with my hand like it’s not connected to anything in the bellhousing.

Check the arm on the end of the cross shaft. Have seen it get loose there and just rotate freely on the shaft.
-
Cross shaft is tight on the linkage arm. Have to pull the inspection cover off tomorrow, and see what’s happinging up in there. Hopefully a bunch of parts don’t fall out. It drove down the road 400 miles just fine after the clutch pedal stopped working. We’ll see.
