Fluids expand when they warm, this is a normal condition. Coolant level is something that requires constant attention on your truck that should be checked every day just as often as you check your oil level. Often cold leaks will spring up at clamps and sealing joints as rubber parts expand and contract with temperature changes. Have your system pressure tested for leaks, do this both cold and hot for best results and the best chance at finding all the leaks. If equipped with any silicone radiator hoses, water permiation through the hoses is normal and topping the fluid occasionally is a normal practice.
spsauerland Thanks this. -
true but normally in a degas bottle your full cold is higher than full hot as gas expands liquid goes down in a degas bottle the opposite is happening

Say what.......? Cold full is low. Fluid expands as it warms. If coolant level is dropping while running up to temp you have a leak or air in the system.
