I worked for Roehl for 6 months during 2006/2007, that being my first job after getting my CDL. I switched around with various programs, ending up with the 7/3 7/4 cluster. I calculated my average gross income during the six months was $609 per week; a little less than I had expected. I was willing to put up with a lot of BS to get a decent income ($50K/year translates to roughly $1,000 per week) but in the end, as I was falling further and further behind in my obligations, I went looking for greener pastures. Those long cold winters in Marshfield obviously give them plenty of time to think up new, innovative and slimy ideas to screw their drivers. I do not believe that they are any worse than the rest, but it certainly was an eye opener after listening to their recruiting blarney while I was at the Driving School. Caveat Emptor, or in this case, Driver.

i worked for roehl for 18 months they were great at the begining. There bigest problem i seen with roehl was they have alot of bad dispatchers there. they would take so long to finally send load assignments to you and a couple of times not putting right apointment time on load assignment then when you didnt get there on time because they entered wrong time they give you service failure. At roehl dispatchers are always right and drivers are always wrong. They have changed for the worst since i been there. My best advice is if someone at roehl gives you permission to do something then get it in writing. i was told by the head mecanic at ellenwood that if you use battery clips to hook and unhook ac/dc converter to battery that it was ok since its not a permanent connection. after a year useing it where truck was repaired many times with nothing bad ever being said about it they terminated me due to having a permanent connection for ac/dc converter. Roehl doesnt know the definition of permanent. My fault was i didnt have the permission i received in writing. the logest ac/dc converter was ever conected was no more then 5 minutes. Dont trust anything a dispatcher promises you or any manager says. It seems right now with the way the economy is going roehl is looking to invent ways on getting higher wage drivers out and new drivers in
