    What would be better?
Hauling cattle pots making .45 a mile or hauling hopper making 20% of load?

I guess it depends on how many miles you’re getting hauling livestock and how many loads of grain you can get. 20% seems a bit low, especially when it’s not unusual to sit at a grain elevator 1/2 a day or better waiting in line. But I guess it’s dependent on your area and the rate of the commodity. I get 25% of the load in an end dump and usually only get grain when they’re trying to reposition me to get under something else. The guy I tagged in here has done both and knows what’s up. Way more than I do.

Run from them both that's slave wages.

I pay my driver 28% of the gross of the truck to pull a hopper. 30% pulling a pott. And that's true gross of the truck. No I don't need help

When we haul cattle we haul for more then .45 a mile. But we also haul grain but we do it for a flat rate or by the hundred depending on what the truck comes out better with.
