I'm looking at signing on with Roadrunner Transportation out of Milwaukee. I searched the forum for any posts or threads about them but found nothing. Any info on leasing with them is much appreciated! Thanks

You might know them as RRTS... an LTL company
-
I know the old guy that started the company but hes long since sold it. Can't help ya. I know of them just have no info
-
Thanks my freind, someone will know them
-
I know that they were Roadrunner Dawes for the past few years. I don't know if they spun "Dawes" off or just dropped the name.
Only thing useful that I know is that they are basically a one way company. You are responsible for arranging your own backhauls. I looked at them awhile back, but didn't pursue it very deeply. -
Thanks, you're right about the one way deal. I'm still hunting for a company that will hire me on without any recent experience and it looks like they are going to do it. I figure with a reefer I'm probably just as well off to pull broker loads or theirs and they have a brokering dept that helps you find a load. The way they seem to be set up will allow me a lot of freedom to do what I want and have their authority and insurance. The next payment is due Jan 5th and I can pay the bills but gotta get some revenue coming in soon!

As far as I know,it still is Roadrunner/Dawes...........
I know they have alot of guys pulling vans, but I sure wouldn't want to be on the coast with a dry box...
When you get to Milwaukee, most of the time you unload at their dock and reload and go.......
They have local guys to peddle the freight... -
I hauled some of their loads, the pay was good but usually was LTL crap. If you are going to run west with them you need a reefer as the dry crap outta CA pays #####.

Thanks, they are basically an LTL outfit. That's what I was thinking as well - pull a reefer and don't limit myself to van freight.

WELL...... I am once again looking at leasing to Roadrunner Transportation Service. They bought Dawes a while back. Their safety rating and company info look good. The rates they quoted for the lanes I'd most likey run - mid west to Florida, are pretty good. They did say that I would have a tough time getting out of Florida but The Season is starting soon.
I'd really like to know if anyone has been leased to them and what their experiece was/is.trucker43 Thanks this.
