Jammer/Ridgeline: haha its funny how a choice of words can skyline you. I was a greenside Corpsman, mostly a Marine except for some uniform patches and me being smarter than them! Kidding, I love my crayon eaters!

@x1Heavy - See now, sometimes sailors do wear USMC uniforms. Now do you believe me?

I was never motivated enough to go Marine regulation as 2 C bags worth of uniforms to maintain and be inspected was already more than I wanted. Definitely sharper looking than the whites and working blues though!

Hey, don't be discouraged! I had a guy up the street from me when I was 21. I was driving a bobtail at the time, but wanted to get into the big league. I went up to him and told him who I was and that I totally dug his cabover Pete! He let me ride one night with him and actually let me drive! I had my permit. He taught me A TON! Many years later I was in a position to hire drivers for 2 different company's at 2 different times. All manner of guys from trucking schools showed up for the jobs, and I took them out for test drives and they were PATHETIC! All they knew was logbooks and pre-trip inpects! They had not a clue how to actually drive a loaded truck safely or drive one well! My point? Learn from a neighbor, family, someone you know who can show you what trucking is supposed to be, not in a class room. That's a big reason why there's so many bad, terrible drivers on the road today. I'm 61 and just about done! Best of luck to you future trucker!

Appreciate it Thomas, Id love to find someone like you had to learn from. Im keeping my eyes and ears open for the opportunity. I learn best by doing, not being in a classroom listening to someone read PowerPoints. Which is one of the reason Im attempting this route. Cheers!
