Hello, I'm currently a part-time EMT. I've grown to like driving. I've been doing research on truck driving and haven't found too many answers on this topic.
Is it possible to be a part-time truck driver? Roughly 20-30 hours a week? Perhaps maybe 2-3 single day shifts, or a long shift over 2-3 days? Are there particular companies that cater to this?

There is many outfits looking for part time drivers, sometimes to do local pick ups and deliveries so the other drivers can get a weekend off or to lessen the times on log books because those moves sometimes takes many hours.. Try for hourly on those so you get paid properly.

I've driven part time for 20 yrs. I pull containers. Do it as a fill in.

Temp services that hire cdl drivers probably have what you want.

There's a temp agency called Centerline Drivers that has offices nationwide. I have no idea if they're a good company to deal with.
