The Terre Haute post has a silver one. Owens (the trooper who drives it) likes to work the first 11 miles on I-70 where the speed limit is only 60 MPH for trucks & he appears to have a fancy for big trucks.

I once heard back in the late '80's when Indiana was using the mustangs before that a trooper had to issue x-amount of tickets (substantially higher then a marked unit) or he'd have to give it up to someone else & get back in a marked car.

    I-dun-no....

LOL... reminds of the ford state highway truck they used to have a few years back. It was a extended cab ford painted bright state highway yellow with state decals. It had red/blue lights behind the highly tinted windshield & behind the grill & in the rear tail lights.

(I know its a little old post) but .... I saw a Police Mustang today 12/20/08,
had a Grand Caravan pulled over.
(FYI - This was in Southern IN off US41 at the Vincennes Willow St exit. Car was charcoal gray w/ tinted windows. )

The trooper was having a hard time exiting the Mustang with his wide brim trooper hat on, lol. I am sure he was happy about having a Mustang in case the family van tried to make a run for it!:biggrin_2559:
    Geeez.:biggrin_2552:
