In the new year I will be starting with a new company. I will still be a company driver but I will have a dedicated truck and trailer that are "mine" for the time that I'm with the compay. I have been wondering if it would be worth it for me to buy my own trailer (flatbed) and use it instead of the company one?
Is it pointless to own the trailer and not the tractor?
Would the extra pay from having my own trailer be worth the trouble of maintaining it?
Just curious as to what your opinions are on this. Thanks in advance.

why would you buy a trailer?
the payments, ins, upkeep i would advise against it -
The only reason I'd want to buy a trailer would be that i'd be able to get what I want and also it would bring extra pay. I see what your saying and I am thinking too that it would likely me more of a pain than it's worth.

yeah not trying to bust your bubble or anything it would have to be alot of money to justify it IMO

Yeah no problem. Thanks for the replies. I kinda figured it was probably not worth the hassle but I figured I'd ask anyway.
Thanks again for the replies.
