Maybe for an Aircraft.(I have seen the "trick" done with a Piper Cub)But.....for an Ultralight Air vehicle, would be a little "overkill" due to the Fact that, by driving 50mph plus a HEADWIND of aprox. 15Knots, You would actually be subjecting the airvehicle to an aprox. 60knots (give or take). That would be detrimental to the "air Frame" made out of Tubes... of ANY Ultralight. Well.....HAPPY TRAILS..!!!
Creative ways to 34 when away from home.

I had a driver who came with a little fleet I bought out.
When we book full loads, usually they are like full loads, from front to back.
So I get my manager calling me on the daily call and at the end of the call he mentioned that Frank (not his real name) has a problem with how we load him. I ask what the problem is so he told me "he was given a load to Standard[-Cooper] and he refused the load after that started to load him. I asked "why?? that's a good load for him, fills the truck with light product" and he said "well he has his motorcycle sitting in the front of the trailer and there isn't room for the load" ... guess what the manager told him?
Get rid of the bike or find another job.
He got rid of the bike.MidwestResident and Steel Dragon Thank this. -
So your asking how to go places on a 34? If your company allows it use pc. I'll take a bobtail semi anywhere you can take a 4 wheeler lol. Some companies have "rules" like no dropping the trailer other bs like that. I assure you no one will know lol. If not then Uber it up. The bicycle is a good idea too. Might peddle off some of those mcky ds meals driver!Steel Dragon and jraulpilot1998 Thank this.

Regarding the ultra-light, that is feasable, and likely wouldn’t require anything close to a 50 mph headwind taking off from a 53’ trailer.
There is a video on YouTube showing a modified J3 Cub at the Valdez Fly In & Airshow in Alaska taking off in under 15’ and landing in under 11’. Super STOL planes are so cool, they’re almost like helicopters in the right conditions.
A single speed with training wheels will do, I won’t judge!Steel Dragon Thanks this. -
I’ve done that exact thing from the Nashville T/A. Twice. Nice location.Steel Dragon Thanks this.

I worked at a fairly large company that claimed this (Heartland express). Never once did I get a call about dropping and bobtailing. Even for home time which was their biggest home time rule. "Truck must stay hooked to tractor" psh screw itmotocross25 and Steel Dragon Thank this.
