I think HP is part of the governed specs trucks are specced out for. Do a ecm reflash and open her up with no restrictions. You should see a higher number.
I did it on a 05 isx450. The power boost was beautiful. I got better mileage also. I didn't have a gauge at that time though so i couldn't tell you the before and after HP.
The 2 next trucks i drove were 09 isx 475. Those 2 trucks were slouches. It was THEN that i bought the gauge. I never saw higher then 350 on the gauge.

So would that be a bad deal $22k I looked at one with 630k and one with 710k the first thing I would do is change the fluids and get the delete done. But also don't want to go broke. I'm okay with repairs but if I can't make it a block away without it breaking down then it would not be a good option just thought I would get everyone's opinion. Thank you to all of you who replied

It's a setting. I have the DDDL software and can see that the HP is already set at 500.

For some reason the DD engine can melt pistons. I think it's due to dpf plugging? But once tuned should be better on fuel economy.

I would recommend that you do a search on the site and find some of @Ridgeline ’s advice regarding shopping for a used truck. I’m sure it will be quite helpful to you. Perhaps It can help you avoid an expensive mistake.

I wouldn't do a delete unless I had a problem that cost more than the delete. If the truck runs now then put it on the road and work it now. Why spend two or three grand on a delete when you are just starting out as an O/O? Trust me. You'll have plenty of things to spend your money on.brysol01 Thanks this.

They can burn pistons when the injectors are over-fueling and that's a normal cause for the DPF's to get plugged or when the truck is having regen issues in general.mhyn Thanks this.
