Common now, I only had to get ####ed for a couple years, now I make more than I did as a "smart ####er" with a degree and all that jazz.
I honestly couldn't see doing anything else now, OTR for now, local after. Esp LTL, getting away from Truckload and Mega's, it just changes the whole game.
AZ School is 5 weeks away...what to do in the meantime?

Learn your pre-trip--they'll teach you enough to pass the MTO exam in school but many schools won't teach you what the industry wants at their road test. Failing an industry road trip is pretty much a deal breaker for any trucking job you apply for.Phenomenal Thanks this.

Thanks for the tip. Since I don't have a truck this youtube vid is the best I can do.

The school will teach you the airbrake pretrip and the regular pretrip. Practice them at home. Visualize everything and practice then do it at school on the truck when ever you get a chance. Its stressful to have to do it during the driving test so you want to have it down without thinking whats next. Be patient with yourself everything will come with time. The whole experience was stressfull for me because I laid out the cash from my own pocket.

Hmmm things to do while waiting before driver training starts, take a quick weekend vacation cause it'll be a while before you'll ever experience one of them again. Go to the local library and see if you can hire all 20 seasons of Law and order. Keep reviewing all the CDL road rules. Mow the lawn cause it'll also be a while before you get to do that again. And most importantly make sure you've got all your utilities paid up you don't want a final notice saying you will be disconnected, and organize to have someone look after your pets while your away, have i missed anything?

I'm seeing a lot of FAST card requirements for AZ job ads in Ontario. It takes 6-8 weeks to process the application. If I apply now it should be ready by the time I graduate school. Good idea? Do I have to do an in-person interview as part of the process?

I'm being dead serious, apply for your fast card now it will work better in your favorBigHossVolvo Thanks this.
