If i were you, i'd call their main number and ask for a recruiter right now! That is a bunch of bull. When Wayne was talking to them in the beginning, he had a recruiter named Sarah. She had him on a bus in 5 days to start training, the ticket in 3 days! Right now,Wayne is broke down in Ill and will be stuck there until tomorrow at least so no Xmas for us, until he makes it home. He is upset because this is the first Xmas away from us since we met 6 years ago, but we are making it through. I have actually been seriously thinking of having him lease his own truck in the future. Only time will tell. It all depends on how miles go and what happens.

well its been an intresting morning still have not heard back from the recruter. i went in to town this morning to a friend of mines bodyshop for coffee and a b/s session and next door theres a truck repair shop and guess whats sitting in the parking lot. one of centrals trucks. so i went on over and talked to the driver his name was ed and hes on the kraft dedicated account. he told me that the conley should be opening soon. that the trainers and other staff are ther now. so he called in and they said to hang tight that no one was set up to start school yet and people would be called soon and all the details given then. so after a quick look at the truck and a b/s session with him ill wait till after christmas and see what happens then. hey jj did you find anything out yet for me ? it was nice to talk to a fellow car guy the other night. merry christmas everyone.

 

Central is not a bad company to start out with and I hear that the school is good
it would be great if your wife could team with you because that is where the money is, my husband and I worked for crs for 6 yrs we quit in july because we were haveing issues with the truck that we were leasing from the co. so we turned the truck back in and quit. My husband now works for interstate and pulls box, he said that they are not bad but would rather pull refer. On the box you don't have to worry about the refer shutting down on you. But there are a limit to what you can haul with the box but good luck to you in no matter what or who you choose

 

dose anyone know how the food is there at central's school?(in SLC UT)

 

I like that. Good line.

Also, I liked the food at SLC. I especially like the semi tractor coming out of the wall in the cafeteria. Anybody who has been there in the last few years will you please tell us if it is still there?

 

Went by Johnson's corner last night. Guess who was parked right up close to the buffet line? A Central truck! Whoever you were, congratulations on keeping the tradition alive while I'm doing the local gig.

Yes, it is still there. They have added a lot of posters telling us how great it is to lease from them... Right.

They also still have the old Dick Simon tray's for everybody to use.
