Have you seen the new Apple computers?
They may as well be laptops!
You can purchase this kit to attach your 24-inch iMac (2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme) to a wall mount, articulating arm, or other VESA-compliant mounting solution.

got one on order

O.K. now I just found the netbooks, or ultraportable/micro pc's with approximately 9 inch monitors, small keyboard weighing less than three pounds. BUT, they have bluetooth capabilities for a wireless keyboard and you can hook up a larger monitor. You can also add external hard drive/use a flash drive.
Where have they been hiding!
Unfortunately the one I came across first, (Asus 900) doing the "come hither" dance was from Amazon, and it is a steal because it is a discontinued model. I don't think it will have ALL of the features I want, plus the battery holds a charge for half the time as the upgraded version. It also has Intel Celeron M (900 MHz); RAM installed: 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM, and the new one has Intel Atom 1.6GHz 1GB DDR2 SDRAM 400MHz...
I received an email from Amazon to possibly participate in a buying war for six selected items and this was one of them for $200 bucks! But not worth it if it doesn't have the proper functions.
Decisions, descisions...
bty, I looked for netbooks on here, and it couldn't be found, wonder if I search for ultraportable, I'll find something. I need info people!!!!! -
yes i have one, they are a little more on the expensive side, but worth it to me.

I went Mac in September, and I ain't going back!
I was a dyed-in-the-wool PC user, and stayed away from those "weird Mac's" until I just got so fed up with Microsoft and their bloated programs that I went to the Apple web site, and eventually bought a refurbished MacBook Pro.
Woohoo! I now understand why Mac users would snicker when I told them PC was the best.
I still use 2 Windows based programs: DDL and Streets & Trips. I run them on a virtual machine using VMWare Fusion, I run them in Unity, using Windows XP that has NO updates or service packs and has been trimmed to just the absolute basics, and it sits there dumb and happy.
The programs Apple has are way better than MS ever was. I didn't realize just how much punishment I was putting up with when using Bill Gates' bloatware until I tried Mac.
Did I mention that you never have to defrag a Mac? Yeah. They don't work that way.
Turn on a Mac and a PC at the same time? Mac beats PC by 50% or better. No waiting while "Windows is opening." It boots, makes it's cute little sound, and in about 30 seconds you are up and running. Windows? It can be 2 minutes later and stuff is STILL starting up in the background.
Mac Rules! -
welcome to world of Mac, Lone Ranger!
It is a beautiful place indeed! -
First computer I had was an old commador 64. Does anyone remember those? You know the ones you had to hook up to a TV and the used the big ol floppies that looked like 45 records (another thing that faded away). Finally I purchased my first PC and stuck with those for a few years until I went digital not long after getting my photography degree. Mac is the only way to go if your going to editing a lot of photos. I bought one and paid $2400 for it which was a lot back then. Today you could get one that would do the same stuff for around $500 or you could probably find a used one just like I had for around a $100. It just doesn't pay to buy something when it first comes out. I have a PC here in my wifes office but my laptop is a Mac and eventually I plan on changing out my Desktop PC for a Mac. I love the macs! And I love their commercials.
