I have a preplan the day before unload probably 9 out of 10 times. If unload is afternoon I might not get the preplan until that morning.
On a very rare occasional when they have an exceptional number of trucks unload in a given area ((like on a Monday) it may be possible to sit for a day. But in 2.5 years I can only remember this happening twice and was paid a layover both times.

I don't wait on Preplans often myself.
But from some of the different posts I have seen from STexan...I believe he's definitely doing better than a lot of us here.
I have been here since 2013 btw.
I don't get anywhere near the miles he does. Nor is it nearly as consistent.Last edited: Mar 8, 2018
CorsairFanboy Thanks this. -

I'm in a lull the last several weeks just because of timing and load availability issues. Plus, they've peaked out again to new truck count levels so I think we can expect another round of growing pain issues. And I'm starting to think about quitting the OTR game for a number of reasons not related to Holland ... but I don't know for sure what's in my futuresmokey12 Thanks this. -
For me it comes and goes little more.
I have a 3 to 4 bad weeks then I do well for a while.
They have been keeping me pretty busy lately to be honest.
I also don't mind running when the load requires it.
I usually stay out about a month at a time.
And as far as pre-planning I think some dispatchers are worse than others..
Maybe that person doesn't like me who knows.
I won't post who it is here.
Right now I only have little over 3h on my 70.Attached Files:

I pulled my second virgin trailer out of the barn last week. (916)
Anybody notice how the new 9xx series run still higher PSI on the gauge? I'm at 84 psi with 33,740. Seems like every year since the 7xx series, 34k goes up about 2 psi
The "80 limit" no longer applies with many of the newer ones.Rugerfan Thanks this. -
I don't think I've even had a 9x yet.
Seems like they're still trying to hire.
Don't know where they will put the Drivers though. I saw only 2 Trucks behind the Building
1x18xx and another Truck with some light Front End Damage think it was a 16xx.
Didn't stay long enough to inspect it lol. -
They seem to be losing 1-3 drivers each week for whatever various reasons and they seem bound to keep them cycled back out as soon as they can get them back ready again.
