Reliable Fleet Services
It says what you do, and opens you up for a lot of additional work.
Listen, this is a tough business. Do not allow anyone to direct bill. Everything is done by EFS, Comcheck, or Cash. No personal or company checks. Period. Do not clear a truck until you have been paid. 99% of the companies out here will be OK with this. The ones that dont, can take a hike.
Marketing. Take a picture of your rig, with some tires stacked against it, and with your husband and you, and any children you may have standing in front. A picture is worth 1,000,000 words. What this is going to say is that we fix trucks, change tires, and am a small family operation.
With that picture, you overlay your name and phone number. Take the image down to the local walgreens and get 500 standard prints. It will cost you about $75 or less. Then mail a copy and a cover letter to the shops of #250 to #500 of the Top 500 Trucking companies in the USA. Also go to the local fuel stops and ask about other companies that fuel there regularly. There is a sample below, it took about 6 minutes to make. You want to make sure you have more then enough emergency lighting on your rig, show that off in the picture.
Next, go to the facilities in your area that have dropped trailers. Find out who has the trailers there and contact the companies about doing yard checks and repairs on their trailers.
If you want any help, let me know and I will do what I can to give you all a hand.
