Judge's daughter sues driver she ran into during crash

First let me say, I'm in no way on this girl or her family's side. But from reading the news report the owner of the truck didnt have insurance on it. In that case, it was illegally driven and shouldnt have been on the road. Did the driver of the truck know this? Probably not. The girl is probably trying to say she wouldnt have hit him since he shouldnt have been on the road. Since she was 3x the legal limit, it seems like she would have most likely hit something.

I was an insurance agent for over 9 years and have seen insurance companies refuse to pay out on claims if there was an illegal activity. For instance, insured driver hits uninsured driver and does property damage and bodily injury. The uninsured driver tries to sue but is told that since they had no insurance at the time of the accident no monies will be paid since the wreck wouldnt have happened if they hadnt been on the road at that time.

Since the truck had no insurance at the time of the accident then her only recourse would be to sue the owner of the truck and the driver and we know the driver isnt going to have the big $$$.

 

I wonder if they would sue the power company if she would of bent her car arround a pole saying the pole should not of been there it should of been 5 inches farther from were it is.

I think she should fry too.
But here were I live one of my old neighbors kids was driving back from picking up her brothers from school.

This chick was i think 16 she ran a stop sign and killed her 2 brothers and her daughter in the car she was in the hospital for quite a few days and she only got a slap on the hand. To top it off she did not even have a drivers license.

 

Does anyone else think that they only filed this because a truck was involved?

Can you imagine they would have filed this type of lawsuit if they had hit another car, say being driven by normal person?

 

What should have happened in the first place is the ##### should have been convicted of murder and sentenced to at least 25 years. I had a friend hit by a DD 8 years ago she spent three months in coma and died this year from complications caused by the injuries she suffered. They need to really crack down on people like this. I say even on the first offense they should throw you ### in jail for at least 1 year and take your DL for 2.
