Where are you located? The best jobs aren't advertised for the most part; but a few are. Estes Express just started advertising for drivers because they're growing so fast. I know a guy there that makes $70K and home every day. He does line haul/drop & hook.

    So.... how's it going?

    I hated training.

Like Chinatown said it's the company, just be careful switching because you'll want to stay at the next company a while. Employers don't like job hoppers too much.
The place I just left was lousy at dispatching my husband and I. We finally got a dedicated route that we ran for almost 2 years.
It did get boring and tedious.
As far as relationships.....my husband and I can get really mad at each other especially looking for a warehouse with no address or an address that doesn't exist (what fun, especially in a major city), but we've been together a long time and make up well.

Get truckers path app check reviews for walmarts then call ahead and/or check in with service desk.

Take a walk when stopped, Petros usually have a work out room.

I have a card through my company for discounted rates on hotels. If I'm going to be sitting for the weekend we can get out of the truck for a while. They have work out rooms, pools, etc. Last place we stayed had a shuttle service.

Regardless of the downside (dispatch, traffic, whatever) of trucking I really like it.
I love going home, but I love going out.
I am in my 40's and the kids are grown. I'm making good money and seeing new things.

If you don't like what you're doing, change it.

Your last line reminds me of the last line of one of the best blind melon songs written

“When life is hard, you have to change...”

When I got out of school in '93, I want out with a trainer for a whole two weeks. My trainer was actually a good guy, fairly patient and very knowledgeable ( 3 million mile safe driver, if I recall. Maybe 30 years safe driving?). My problem was actually being on the road. I simply wasn't cut out for it, but I loved driving. So I caught a Greyhound home, and bounced between 3 jobs in a year and a half but I was able to get hired on with an LTL company where I spent the next 18 years. It suited me perfectly.

It doesn't hurt to explore options as far as local, home every day work.
