When I start running the speedometer starts going up and down until about 45 mph. Then it works good. For some reason my Qualcom Elog is giving me a critical event or hard stopping. Is this related? Fix?

Yup. Ecm is seeing a bad speed signal and then sharing the bad reading with the qualcomm.
You more then likely have rubbed out wires going to your speed sensor or a bad speed sensor. Sensor is located on the trans output shaft.spsauerland and Goodysnap Thank this. -
Most likely related. Your qualcomm is seeing the vehicle speed dropping off as a rapid deceleration. Fix your speedo issue all should be well. Give us some truck info to go after. I would start with vehicle speed sensor and or wiring inspection at the sensor and or look for a loose yoke nut at the trans output are most common issues with an Eaton trans.

Sorry for delay but problem solved. Took it to Peterbilt and the speed sensor ring was loose. Cost me $800.00 and two days later truck got hit by lightning. Another $1,700.00.
Heavyd Thanks this.
