Talked to one of their drivers in San Antonio awhile back. Said he liked it. He delivered at the dealer then had to prep the trucks. So its a little work intensive. He had to carry his own tools, which would be airport minor hassle. Said when he gets back, he has to head right back out. Usually gone 4-6 weeks total then takes time off. That may be required. They advertised in local paper recently and it said something to that effect. Anyway that was 1 driver for what its worth. But, like I said he did like the job. Hope that helps.
cunfuzed Thanks this. -
Ok, let me back up. I still had the email with the ad. Required 12 days out and 3 days off. Must be able to get passport, and prefer TWIC also. Must go into Canada. Stay in motels while in route. You get to keep frequent flyer miles. Cpm .46 plus multi vehicle pay. That's all I remember.

thanx for the imput i think i'm gonna stay lookin for another foodgrade tank position.

If i remember correctly, you have to log line 4 for your flying time.
-
log line 4 for flying??...that would be considered off duty time i believe.
-
You only have to log it on Line 4 if you go on duty after you get to the terminal. Say you fly and get to the terminal at noon and leave the yard then you would log the flight time as on duty, if you fly in and don't leave till the next morning then you don't have to log it. As for Auto Truck, it used to be a great place to work back in 06-07. Now I wouldn't work there if I had to, I would go to Schneider or Swift first. From 2007 to 2010 I myself was layoffed three times, they would call you back when they got a rush of trucks that they needed to get shipped and wouldn't let drivers give the company they worked for a notice. A lot of companies won't even call you or talk to you if they see ATT on your app. I know one driver who lost a lot because of what all went on in them three years. It's definately hard work and not for someone who just wants to hold a steering wheel.

So are things busy now?Anyone working there who can tell me anything about the company, this would be greatly appreciated.

I'm going to go ahead and resurrect this old thread to see if anybody has any current information as it has been about four and a half years.
