i don't understand why some dispatchers at Maverick so mean to their drivers. They work so hard and they always give them a hard time. And they won't complain because they don't want the retalation from the dispatcher cause be honest you know they will give them crappy loads and without good loads they won't have any money. What do you think am I wrong in thinking this?

Tell you what I think. I think there are some loads that are harder to secure and tarp than others. but I also think that the attitude of the driver has alot to do with it. Some company drivers it seems to me are not happy with anything they get. They should buy their own truck, and find their own loads so then the only thing they would have to complain about is themselves. I've sat side by side with other drivers waiting to be sent my next load. They complained and whined the entire time how they always had to wait to get a load. BEEP. they pick up the qualcom after waiting a coupla hours for a load and then the complaining continues because its not the place they wanted to go, its not the load thats toss some straps over it and roll, its a load that has to be tarped, its raining and cold, its sunny and hot, waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I have a 3 month old that whines and cries less than some drivers i've met out here.
My attitude, "Whatever". Try it. A positive person is alot more fun to be around than a negative one.
I remember being in Lakeland, Florida one time strapping down a load of aluminum pre fab pieces in the middle of a downpour. It was raining so hard it seemed to be raining sideways. Of course, when i finished tightening the last strap, the rain stopped. I just started laughing. Another driver who saw me asked what was so funny. I told him its Thursday and I havent had time to take a shower until just a minute ago. He started laughing too. -

Just got off the phone with kaleb in recruiting, there varifying my ap and said they would get back to me in 5-7days. I did alot of research on this outfit, and want to work for them. I have 20 moths driveing and 8 months flatbed. but have never driven an automatic tractor. How much of a pain is it to get a manual shift? He said id be in regional division, im based out of Atlanta whats the freight lookin like in this end of the country. I only ask because ive been off the road 27months. I drove in this time off but its non verifyable. Any info would be great. thanks
