That’s awesome you got an unrestricted CDL! You can get any job and not worry about it. Right?

Just think of the engine sound your auto made while shifting and try to copy that. First time I shifted gears in a truck I just went by how I remembered it sounding when my dad shifted in his trucks. Nailed 75% of the gear shifts right out of the gate the first time out.

 

but...will he know to use the foot rest..uh clutch..???

 

It's possible. I was good within the first day, of CDL school but I'm also a car guy.

 

Yeah day 1 you could be doing deliveries.

 

Gonna “hit the ground running”. No one will even notice.

 

Poor guy. This thread has me rolling. I feel guilty laughing but WTF??

 

Wonder how many times he will stall the engine before he even gets it out of the parking lot?

Is there an over/under on this?

 

Seriously. I can’t even imagine how this guy thinks this is gonna go. He’ll probably struggle getting up to the guard shack to sign out and roll into the truck in front of him- or into the gate.

No one can think this is going to end well (monday morning it should be over ).
