Well, Wayne finally made it home at 4am this morning. They pulled the Cali load from them and they headed home. I have never been so happy to see someone before. He even brought me a Christmas gift. A Jamie McMurray racing jacket! I love it! Wayne was also told no more volvo's. He asked about L/O and was told that. They told him they are only pushing the Pete's for now and that they will be getting new Internationals in and that is it. No more Volvos.

Trucks do not use gas so they do not get good gas milage.

Why are you considering lease when you profile says you are a student?
I would not lease from any company.

Then unnecessary emphasis truckers put on the difference between gas and diesel amuses me. Drive safe and have a good day.

 

That's because to most of them, gas is something you get from 4 trips through the buffet line.

 

What would people think if you used the wrong term for something in other jobs? Gas and fuel are two different things. One runs cars the other runs trucks.

 

This is for the people that think it is good to lease a truck from central, it is a big crock and a bunch of lies, central has no plans in any L/O to ever finishing paying off there trucks. We leased a truck from central after or third year there because we thought we would have more money and things, and yea we did when we started out, we changed to different fms and even got on dedacated with dole and yea we made good money while we were teaming and on dole while fuel prices where low, then I got sick and my husband went solo for a year until i could drive again, then we got back on dole when fuel prices were high and never made a lot of money we ended up loseing our house because we could no longer make the payments central puts an over mileage charge payment on your truck if you go over so many miles and the closer you get to paying the truck off the worse things get, they tell you that you are signing a 3 year lease when in fact is almost a 4 year lease. We leased the truck on july 5th of 05 and as of july 5th of 08 that truck lease should have been up but the lease according to our contract that we didn;t look at very good was not up until may 9th of 09, you have a lot to deal with, most of your money goes in for your taxes, we quit central in july 20th of 2008, cleaned out the truck got a load back to utah, after we just spent 800.00 on new batts. for the truck , If you are going to lease a truck lease it from a dealer not from the co that you work from. just trying to save you some finance problems later down the road

Its an OK lease program, there are better programs out there if you have over a year OTR recent experience.

Central lease isn't great!! BUT it isn't the worst L/O program by a long shot.

 

It would depend on the intent of the communication. My point was clear. The criticism apparent in his post was not intended as a clarification but a criticism. I ignore critical people. They live sad lives.

I am quite aware of professional nomenclature and use it when necessary to get my job done. I am also quite aware of how many truckers think and while I do like many I have met, the industry isn't known for attracting Rhrodes Scholars.
