i’m presuming what he’s saying about his record is true. you may be right, perhaps he’s lying about everything. in which case you should stop speculating beyond the info he provides as that makes you just as guilty.
i dont know either of you from adam but i already trust you less because coyote motor
Coover Thanks this. -
I can't believe there are truck drivers out there that can't shift a gear. ..thats what trucking is all about but I am old school but not really old. It's not a 5 minute lesson to know how and when to shift and you need training. And before jumping in a manual shifting truck I would get some all the best out there from Canada.

I told you this would happen.
I can lie with best of them to cover my ###
Or to get the job done.
But sometimes the risk is to high, it's easier to
Just tell the truth.
Couple day you'll be shifting just fine.
It'll be a running joke in the office for years. -
where are all the self taught super drivers that belittle trucking schools and training companies and say that they just learnt on their own how to drive and shift?
Odds are they had a bad shift or two their first trip..IluvCATS and Gearjammin' Penguin Thank this. -
Yeah, but they think he’s just knocking the rust off- not starting from scratch. So now, he’s lied to them (twice now) AND walked off the job. Either this is a troll post or this company is as small as it gets and is BEYOND DESPERATE

Yep, I had a Heck of a time trying to back into a dock, took me weeks. Shifting was not hard, because we all had Muscle cars in the late 60`s - early 70`s. I was in the yard spotting for 6 months. after 6 months In the yard I got the hang of it. I did not have a super trucker driving school training, but an older guy saying " Put the trailer in that door". We didn't have truck driving schools back then. Practice, Practice, Practice.
