If you are in the sleeper berth, then you are still responsible for the safety and security of the assigned equipment and load. If you are off duty, then you are completely relieved of any responsinility for the truck.
Most Law Enforcement types interpret the rules such that if you are in the truck, you are still on duty.
I only log off duty when I am at my own home. other than that, it's lines 2,3, and 4. -
The only reasons I know that you can log OFF DUTY for your 10 hour break, with a sleeper on your truck, are: (1) You are at your home or place of residence, or (2) you have a hotel receipt for your break.

Or if you are eating, doing laundry etc as long as the company relieves you of duty status. Some companys have the option to make you responsible @ all times, but this onlyl hurts them! A meal card automatically will relieve you for the amount of the time the company allows you. This is up to the company how you log it, they could make you log it on line 4.
You can be off duty during your 10 hour break there is no specific amount of time, although sleeping during your 10 hour break is a very "wise" thing!
Some drivers heard the HOS change and think you have to be in the sleeper for 8 and 2 doesn't matter, they was only talking about split breaking when they was talking about the 8 & 2, which means to follow that rule you need to know the "split breaking rules"!
