Interesting take re disputes to the uemp. agency. They could possibly self-incriminate? (so to speak) By the way, what is "DAC"?

I guess, bottom line, above everything else, is that I simply want a decent truck allowing me to go to work, without any disputes. It needs to be as smooth as possible IF it's going to happen at all.

Your DAC is similar to your credit report except it is your "work/driving" history. Hey, it even includes your credit report, if the trucking company wants it. You signed a release which gives them access to stuff your mother doesn't know about you.

Use the search function within this forum to search DAC. It even has it's own category on this forum.

Unless they "told you" in WRITING, you won't have a leg to stand on.

Perhaps OOIDA won't be able to move it forward, however I was directing my comment more toward the driver out there who was concerned and shared his generosity with me. For that, I'm appreciative.

Well it could be argued that he was under the impression that is how it would work that he thought that was a sure sign that he had a job.

That in itself can prove that they have no meeting of minds. Even though they have the phrase that this contract this is not a garantee of employment. But in his case he was hired and was trained then he now
is now unemployed due to not having a truck to drive.

Swift hired him and now they can not live up to their terms so they should tear up the contract.

The sad part is that I bet they would have a truck for him in a heart beat if he was one of their Mexican citizen drivers who are getting paid alot less than American drivers wages. Before you say they don't do that I trained a few as I am bilingual.
