I don't even take a TV on my truck. If I have downtime, I watch a movie on my laptop. I generally download 8-10 before I roll.
The last trip out for me was almost 12 days. I watched 1 movie during that time.
I don't have the time nor the energy to watch TV most days. And, if I do. I like to join the whine fest at a terminal or truck stop. That's worth a lot of laughs
S2B can vouch for me...I can tell as good a tale/lie as most.![]()

When I first got started not that it was that looooong ago but we had none of the comforts we have today. We had the CB and the FM radio (when you could get a channel) That was it! You could carry a cooler but had to stop and get ice atleast every other day! I guess the upside to that is that you could always get that driver your trying to reach on the radio. LOL we didnt have anything else to do! I know Im guilty of selective hearing when my favorite shows are on the sirius and dont always hear the CB traffic.
Hope you all keep it going kinda interesting

I would have to go with the laptop as well. I could still listen to my sat radio. As well as email, pay bills, bubba raw, and heck you can even order food nowadays.

Well i will be different here than probably 98% of every one else but i would have to say my Ham Radio set up i can get all the info i need and entertainment to boot from my station set up. Of course it includes a computer and gps and radios so i guess that would count as more than one item depends on how you classafy it all.

Since I've been driving since dirt. I'm from when there were no cell phones to call shippers & receivers...had pay phones though and lots of rolled coins or a long distance card. Lap tops were not even born and satellite radio....uh nope.

I'm old school and it be a toss up between the CB and the stereo that is to die for in the rig. After much thought and since I've always drove by the seat of my pants for the most part....it would be the stereo. Of course now it sports multi changer for CD's but still has it's cassette player in good working order.
OMG....now you all know I don't have satellite radio.
I'm a music person not talk radio....talk radio to me is CB turned up so I can hear it. Same thing, less organized and more arguements.

My blow up doll named Betty.
haha just keeping you guys on your toes! My vote is actually with my laptop because I have an aircard with unlimited data transfer (not capped at 5 gigs...truly unlimited) so I can keep in contact with family, friends, and the girlfriend without spending a fortune.
Satellite radio is a close second.
.....Betty comes in at third. -
Hey Rat, What aircard do You use?

I'm signed up through Telus (the phone company up here). I was lucky and signed up when it was an unlimited deal in North America (canada/US) with no roaming charges. I guess the new plan through them is unlimited in Canada, but costs money per MB in the states. They still honor my plan but new signups aren't getting that deal anymore. I was lucky.
