    Just think...3 days, 130 miles a day...

I think I would have seen the possibility of weather and went another direction. In my area of the industry, I would have been paid those "out of route" miles. Especially if the load was still delivered on time.

Now I understand that there are not too many options up in that area, but when running to NYC from Houston, I have many options. Same with going to LAX. Not too many weather issues on I-10, but sometimes it can happen.

It took me 2 1/2 days just to get out of Oregon and I didn't make it home for Christmas. Unfortunately all of the alternatives up there were closed as well. There are not many roads a truck can drive on in Oregon to begin with....

When headed for the northwest you have no alternate routes. take your pick cabbage hill I84, Siskous I5, I90 North cascades, I90 4th of July & Lookout pass. take your pick which one do you take when winter storm warnings are in all?
