Money matters more than safety apparently.

No, nothing to see here at all. Nothing whatsoever.

Doesn't surprise me. I've been driving on the 401 the past few weeks and have had my doors blown off by four-wheelers doing 140+ (kph), and 1-3 miles down the road, I drive by a parked OPP car who's sitting there with his thumb up his butt waiting for the big-money speeder to pass by.

And this past week, the bears were all over the bushes on the 17 between Sudbury and Nipigon... not picking off the four wheelers doing 120+ around tight curves, but nabbing the truck drivers hitting 105-110 at the bottom of hills. It is refreshing though that truckers on the 17 actually know how to drive and use the CB radio to warn others about bears ahead.

The opp posted that they would be cracking down on truck speed on the 17 144 69 a few weeks ago to warn drivers to slow down .. I saw it on a bulletin board at a shipper

hmm, I seen a bunch of 4 wheelers pulled over and just one big truck on that stretch.

With a posted limit of 90 there's only a couple of hills I'll let it get over 105 and they never have a problem with that. Had one coming up behind me the other day as I neared the top of the hill by Old Woman Bay heading north. He stayed a good ways back and followed me into Wawa. I hit 105 a couple times.

My experiences may differ from others but from what I've seen if you get a speeding ticket in a big truck in Ontario you probably deserve it. Hit 110 coming down jack fish with no one around and they'll probably look the other way, hit 102 while trying to intimidate a slow 4 wheeler and they'll pull you.

Nothing from nothing but the national OOS rate when they actually do their #### job around here is 22%.

No idea but my father in law refers to it with his wife's name. ;)
    Google Maps

It's not that far from baby lake, mom lake and dad lake.

I seem to remember that road, one of 2 ways across and for some reason the northern route across was better for some reason. been 25 years since I drove Canada for money but I did 6 cross countries. Two on bryan adams tour and one on sarahs tour

I was letting it roll down Old Woman Bay long ago. Got pinched doing 135 Kph. As cop is quoting my airspeed he gets “officer requires assistance” on his radio. Turns me loose, no ticket:D
