They did. You damaged the truck 5 times. You see when other companies see that a driver has a history of damaging the equipment. Equipment which cost them $100,000+ to buy and $300+ every time it gose in to the shop. They get real concernd. It dosen't matter how it's reported. Hiring some one with this kind of record is taking a big gamble. And in this day and time they are not going to do that. Oh the recruiter might give you some song and dance. But they have to report to a boss who looks at this and say "not in my trucks".
Look at it this way. If you let some one use you car. And every time they did they brought it back with a new ding/dent /or scrap would you report it to there insurience company or tell yours that it's no big deal. I'll fix it.
What we are reading is that you blame your last company because you can't get a job because you damage there trucks and they have the never to report it. What the heck, it's just $300 here and $500 there. No big deal. We are tell you IT IS a big deal. Any damage for ANY reason is a big deal. Everything cost the company money and they can't afford to have/keep drivers that don't/can't see that. -
well your readng incorrectly, it seems to me that i took blame for my faults, as a man would. it also seems to me that they could have reported it as it happened instead of making it seem worse.
my friends, you dont have what it takes to belittle, persuade, or anything else, me.
I have posted what I intended to, where I intended to.....and explained why. I've already helped at least 1 rookie to understand what he should do different and he had the guts to thank me.
I know this thread has helped future employees at maverick understand their system and how it affects them and what will be done with them when they make rookie mistakes (because maverick shur wont use the word DAC in a sentence with them), and thats good enuff for me.
You gentlemen are wasting your time.

and yes, i expect if i was running a business and decided to hire people with no experience, i would expect some minimal damage to equipment in my operating costs.....
why do you think some companies won't hire rookie's?.... -
Well I'm done. If you don't get what is trying to be said by now then you never will. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. Good by and good luck.notarps4me and Faber Thank this. -

you're 30 and you've been driving 16 years? when did they start giving driver's licenses to 14 year olds? I drove professionaly for 3 years and never put a scuff or smudge on a truck, trailer, or anywhere else.
"it seems to me that i took blame for my faults, as a man would."
how? did you offer to reimburse the company for the damage you caused?
"and yes, i expect if i was running a business and decided to hire people with no experience, i would expect some minimal damage to equipment in my operating costs....."
why's that?
"why do you think some companies won't hire rookie's?.... "
because of people like you.doubledragon5 Thanks this. -
Faber, Stop arguing with these clowns or trying to prove your point. They all sound like they are high on diesel fumes. For the last time, bumper scrapes, bent lock box doors etc.. should not be reported as accidents. USIS pays companies to report negative information and pays them nothing to report "positive". Maverick is so desperate for money they are probably leaving the lights off inside during working hours and allowing employees 1 toilet flush per day. You were not rewarded for you honesty. Trucking companies walk all over us and expect nothing but the truth. But they sure as hell dont give it to us in return. Nowadays, this is a job for the desperate or the . And sometimes you cant help being desperate, but you get the point. Send a nice letter to saftey. Call Debbie every day. She likes to talk. Tell her you cant even feed your family because you scraped a bumper cover.

Faber Thanks this. -
The problem is the your contact / dm that wants you on his board again does not own the truck you damaged.
It does not matter if you bent something a little in several places. You damaged someone else's propery and they should list thing as accidents.
I screwed up and went down a area I should of not been I had to back out and do a 45 degree back but I did not damage anything I had to do it by a building and a bunch of trailers.
I think it was lack of experince the reason why you had so many mess ups. -
they gave restricted licenses to 14 year olds in kansas....hence, "started driving legally." technically I don't remember how young I truly started driving....much sooner then 14. the math was correct- you are wrong.
yes, i did offer on my first damage to pay for it.
the last comment was a worthless low blow.
