Yet another SWR issue with a Cobra 29 LX

What did you have done, if anything, at APW Electronics? Was it worth the trip, your a brave soul to go into Austin on a Sunday ( or any day) unless its absolutely necessary.

 

From reading your posts, it sounds to me like you are doing fine. I’m driving a 378 Pete, and all I needed was 7 ft of coax to reach the antenna from the cb radio. My hustler antenna tuned and works just fine. I’m just using rg 58ua coax, because that’s what I had on hand at the time. I usually use rg 8x.

Good deal, as long as your happy with your radios performance, that’s really all that matters.

 

The term for running wire is called bonding.......Its not to be done with tour basic electrical either..You need the wide braided stuff..Try to keep it l8" or less if possible..
