if i recall, that accident happened in a neighborhood. the truck driver was going into a "rotary" or traffic circle and rolled over. massive fires all over. i am not certain if he even belonged there, or got lost. if he belonged there, as in made or was going to make a delivery, then he would have known NOT to speed in that rotary...
i just checked the date, it was in 2007...so yup, that's what happened.

Yup. I lived in Waltham when that happened. There are fuel/oil terminals in the Everett/Chelsea area so tankers go through there all the time. That particular rotary had a history of truck rollover accidents. The driver involved in that wreck had numerous speeding violations on his record (he had a New Hampshire driver’s license). From my understanding the litigation from that accident is still ongoing due to the amount of property damage it caused (numerous houses and cars were torched when the gasoline from that tanker spilled and caught fire).

i checked the safer web, web site. that company is down in trucks and equipment from the fiery crash.

Doesn’t surprise me. DOT must’ve put the screws to Abenaqui. Massachusetts State Police is getting fed up with all the rollovers the tanker yankers are getting into and it’s only a matter of time before Connecticut State Police follows suit.

“Flipped in the air twice”
Lmao. That’s complete bs. I highly doubt it did one full flip. That truck would have to be airborne for a long time to flip twice mid air -
i'm guessing she meant rolled over twice.

Bystanders said that it was actually going slow. Driver may have not been taking the turn wide enough, the tires tripped up on the curb, and the surge pushed it over the rest of the way.Lepton1 Thanks this.

Who’s truck was it....?

Or it may have been a case of Yankee Doodle Steering.
