Ok I know the majority of Interstates use ch 19. I think in Calif there are other channels truckers use as well. Does anybody still out there use them? I think their great for latest traffic updates and weather as well. I was just wondering because I used to enjoy listening to them.

Ch-4 is used by Dump truck drivers in L.A., OC, Inland Empire...
Ch-10 is used by dump truck drivers in the "Valley" and the High Desert.
Ch-13 was used by the truckers who worked on the Playa Vista project.

    If you run asphalt:
Ch-17 is for All American Asphalt
    Ch-13 for Vulcan plants

    jedi_tev and squirrellsgnwild Thank this.

From Quebec east in Canada, you won't hear much on 19. most are on 1.

Strange the only place that seems to run # 1 in Western Canada, is from Kamloops south into Vancouver....

Everything else is on Channel 19

I 5 from California north to the Canadian Border seems to be on channel 17

17 is used north of highway 188 in Cal to Canadian border. 21 used to be used from L.A. to Phoenix. 1 used to be used from lower mainland to Cache Creek in pre-Coq. days. Now most run VHF especially up North. As Captian Canuck said 1 is used in Eastern Canada. 15 used to be used on highway 14 in Wash. to minimize interference with 19 on 84 across the river. Now it is mainly used by us locals and loggers.

LADD 1 is the most frequently used followed by LADD 2 and 3 for the road. I'm not sure of the frquency as it shows the name of the frquency and not the number.

I have 108 frquencies on my Ikom. Covered for nearly all logging, mining, and oilfield roads in B.C. and Alberta.
